Short Cylinder Jack

Short Cylinder is a low-floor high-stroke cylinder jack that operates by connecting to an external pump and high-pressure hose.

Feature

  • A type of cylinder jack that operates by connecting to an external pump / high pressure hose.
  • The cylinder extends in two steps ( also called 2-stage extension short cylinder jack).
  • The head cap has a non-slip groove which helps to prevent from slipping, to increase stability.
  • The ram can be lowered easily by the load.

*Highly recommended with the EAGLE machinery skates, work efficiency will be improved.

Instruction Manual

Before work

1. Securely connect the high pressure hose to short cylinder jack with a coupler.

2. Push the lever grip from the top with your hand to remove the lever hook.

3. Turn the air valve counterclockwise to open.

Lifting operation

1. Turn the control valve clockwise and tighten it firmly by hand.

2. Hold the lever grip with one hand and move it up and down to discharge the oil and raise the ram of the cylinder.

Lowering operation

1. When the specified work is completed, slowly turn the control valve counterclockwise to open it. The ram lowers as the oil returns from the cylinder to the tank.

After work

1. Turn the air valve clockwise to close it.

2. Push the lever grip from above and fix the lever with the lever hook.

3. After confirming that ram returned to the minimum height , disconnect the high pressure hose from the jack. Be sure to attach the duster cap to the coupler.

Precaution

  • In the process of jacking up, never put a part of your body such as hands or feet or the whole body under a heavy object. There is a risk of death or serious injury due to accidents such as dropping or overturning heavy objects.
  • When holding a heavy object in the jacked-up position, support it with an appropriate stable holding base to ensure safety. Since holding with only the jack is unstable, there is a risk of death or serious injury due to accidents such as dropping or overturning heavy objects.
  • Never use the jack with a load exceeding the allowable load. The jack may be damaged due to overload, resulting in death or serious injury due to an accident such as dropping or overturning heavy objects.
  • Place the jack on a flat and solid surface with good stability. Do not use on sloping or soft ground. On a sloping ground or a soft ground, the jack may tilt or fall over, causing the risk of heavy objects falling and overturning.
  • Make sure that the load is applied to the center of the ram when using it on the head. If the load deviates from the center, the jack may fall over, causing the risk of heavy objects falling or overturning.
  • Install the pump in a horizontal and safe place. A safe place is one that is flat and solid with no obstacles around it.
  • Air is required in the oil tank of the manual pump. Be sure to follow the level gauge when filling the oil tank. If the tank is filled with oil, a vacuum will be generated in the tank and the oil will not be discharged.
  • Do not use in water, sea or muddy water.

Daily Checklist

Before using

Check the following items before use, and if applicable, take measures such as sending them out for repair without using the cylinder jack or hand pump.

  • When finding the cylinder jack/hand pump/high pressure hose if there is any oil leakage.
  • When operation is not smooth due to raising/lowering to the stroke end with no load.
  • If cylinder jack’s body is distorted and deformed.
  • If the hose or coupler is scratched or damaged.
  • When other abnormalities are found.

After using

After use, keep the following items and store it indoors at room temperature.

  • Store the cylinder jack that the ram is lowered to the bottom.
  • Attach a duster cap to the coupler and lightly tighten the pump air valve before storing.
  • If there is mud, sand, or other deposits on the cylinder jack/hose/pump parts, clean and store them.
  • Do not store near fire or where it may be exposed to water or seawater
